Mission Statement
Jarrahdale Heritage Society Inc. objective is to preserve the historical character and integrity of Jarrahdale, Western Australia by stimulating public interest in, and support for, the retention and preservation of Jarrahdale’s history and heritage including its natural forest environment, historic sites, buildings, artefacts, and pictorial and oral history.
Jarrahdale Heritage Society Inc. shall maintain a public museum that collects, classifies, and preserves records and artefacts relating to the history of Jarrahdale. It will display documents, photographs and artefacts in permanent and thematic exhibitions and provide and maintain a library and reading room and encourage the study and recording of Jarrahdale’s history.
Jarrahdale Heritage Society Inc. will assist educational and special interest groups with project materials and will provide guides to historic sites. It shall commemorate notable anniversaries in Jarrahdale’s history and erect suitable signs and notices at places of historic interest, encouraging people to appreciate Jarrahdale’s forest heritage by participating in bushwalking around the town and adjacent forest. It shall work with government bodies and other organisations having similar objectives doing such things that are incidental and conducive to the attainment of the above objectives and purposes of any of them.

Objective Of The Society
The Objective of the Society is to preserve the historical character and integrity of the town of Jarrahdale, Western Australia, by:

Jarrahdale Heritage Society Inc. are conscious that collecting, collating, and sharing information about people, living and deceased, is an essential element of family and heritage history. Responsible family historians respect the law and the feelings of others and will always:
- Seek by all reasonably available means to inform themselves about the legal principles in force from time to time governing the protection of copyright and of personal privacy.
- Observe the legal rights of copyright owners, by copying or distributing any part of their woks only with their permission, or to the extend allowed under the copyright law’s fair use provisions.
- Be sensitive to the hurt that revelations of criminal, immoral, bizarre, or irresponsible behaviour may bring to family members.
- Inform people who provide information about their families of the ways it may be used, carefully recording, and observing any conditions they may impose about the use of it; and,
- Recognize that legal rights or privacy may limit the extent to which information from publicly available sources may be further used, disseminated, or published.
